Sigh, long frigging week. Yet, I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything. Two snow days, and a full day meeting on Friday basically kills this whole work week. I’m finally at a point where I’m pretty caught up, but if they don’t keep the schools open, and me out of meetings, I will never get those last few work orders completed. I guess having an empty inbox is a boring way to live anyways. Try and get it down as low as possible before heading out for my week+ of holidays. I can’t wait.
House seems to be delayed right now. All this snow is making it impossible to get the ground dug and foundation put in. Hopefully this will not set things back too much. We gave some slack with our end of May deadline, so that if they did come into a bad winter they would have some time to catch up in Spring. Will see. Right now I am not holding my breathe for a May 21st closing date, even though that is what we were told.
The budget for the Golf has been spent for the year. I decided to purchase a set of wheels while in Florida (as mentionned below). They are already paid for, I just have to pick them up on our holiday. Good thing its even on the way down. Don’t hardly have to deviate from the plan. Some one also brought to my attention that www.Shox.com was ending their promotion with Eibach during the first week of February. Essentially they have the suspension kits which I have been eyeing up for nearly 45% of normal cost. (About 60% lower then any local price I found.). So after talking it over with my financial advisor (Shannon), I placed my order. Luckilly Shannons and my friend Alicia who lives in the USA has said she will bring the parts up for me. Saving another 10-25% of the price by not having to pay the duties or terrifs or taxes. Her smuggling don’t come cheap. All-Dressed chips will be needed to bribe this Southern Belle. Thanks again Alicia! Down side is, Bug remains in pieces until my second job can pay off the visa. Shouldn’t take too long. But the car certainly wont be done by my Birthday. Figure I will pay of the suspension and wheels + the trip to Florida by the mid-late February, and then save like a good little boy until we get into the house. Then re-assess. Man I can’t wait to get this stuff on the Golf. Its gonna handle like a go-cart!
