Under a month till Christmas. Yay. I’m excited. Can you tell? I actually don’t detest Christmas as much as everyone thinks I do. I actually quite enjoy it. Well, parts of it anyways. I love the getting together for the holidays, the traditions we all have (i.e.: Christmas Eve at Uncle Shoupies/Grandma and Grandpas place for late night drinks and of course way more food then any should partake in the course of one evening, getting up way to early for presents, breakfast Christmas morning and turkey in the evening). Now that I’m married things get a bit more complicated, but none the less, we will make it through, and try to do as much of everything as we can.  Even if we have to split up here and there to get to the things we find important, we will get through it. Have 3 years running, what’s a few more ;-). The part of Christmas I am not keen on it people buying gifts that they can’t afford to buy for people, who as much as they appreciate it, don’t really need anything. I know its a loosing battle for me, so I will try and enjoy, and hope everyone can avoid going overboard as they always do. As for the decorations, YES I love Christmas decorations. I just can’t get excited putting them up on a little townhouse or apartment. Next year, if all goes as planned, we will have our own house. Then Griswold’s: look out. I’m coming for your tackiest/gaudiest house title. And there isn’t anything Shannon can do to stop me. (debit card may slow me down, as I am poor), but if we accumulate stuff every year, in about 5 years time THIS is what you will be seeing on our house.

In other news:

HERE are the pictures from Mallory’s birthday at Pizza Hut. Sorry for the delay, but my camera was missing in action for a few weeks, along with it the pictures. The link is also on the photos page.

Tomorrow afternoon, I’m picking up a pair of clear bumper lights for the Golf. 40$ well spent to remove the ugly amber ones which are currently on there. Now all I need is some Eibach springs/shocks, set of 18″ wheels, Carecter bumpers and side skirts, and an ABT grill and some go fast goodies and the golf will be done 🙂 .. Too bad the Bug is on the top of the car modding list, not to mention buying a house puts a serious cramp in the modding. Not stops it. Just slows it down a tad. Pictures of the new clear corners will appear on the site soon.

Speaking of the beetle. Alex came over last weekend to help finish up the welding on the front end. End story: bug is ready to go for paint. As soon as my wallet catches up, she’s going in. Visa is going to love me. Hopefully it will be going in just before or just after Christmas. Once we get the house sorted out, I will know better. And that should be Monday or Tuesday of this coming week. Only thing left to do before it goes in is put in the new tie rods which Marks Bug Barn should have for me next week and then call the towing guys. Minimal body work, a couple fender nuts, and its ready for some colour. I can NOT wait. Until next time…..
