Four years ago today (well, not exactly, but I base years on holiday, not the dates); So actually 4 Thanksgivings days ago, Shannon and I had our first date: Simcoe Fair Demolition Derby. Whats more romantic than that eh? I’m too good. Well, as you all know, LAST Thanksgiving, I proposed to Shannon and she said yes. I was hoping to have the wedding today (just one less date for me to remember), but alas, didn’t work out that way. Oh well. So I’d like to say happy 4 years to Shannon, and here’s to a lifetime of Thanksgivings to come. Now bring me some turkey 🙂
Speaking of turkey, Saturday Shannon, Adam Wybenga and myself went to Shannons Dads place for turkey dinner. *Burp* is all I can say. By 9pm, i was ready to stick a fork in myself, as I was done. Was nice having our orphaned buddy Adam with us. We even behaved our selves. Imagine that.
Yesterday we went to Uncle Shoupie/Aunt Linda’s house for turkey dinner. It was fantastic as always. Weird not being at Aunt Val/Uncle Bretts house for it, but everyone was all there, so its still good. Family is all that matters. And the Turkey of course. Even though the bird had to be lifted from Fisherville to feed us, it was all good. MMmm imported Turkey from Fisherville.
Uncle Elmer and Aunt Leonne are visiting from out west. Was nice to visit with them. I haven’t seen them for about 10 years. Can defiantly tell Uncle Elmer and Grandpa are related. Hopefully they have a safe trip back to Manitoba tomorrow.
Two last thank yous. One to Aunt Val who spent most of the night helping Chewie relieve his itch. Poor little fella picked up a flea at some point this week, and was driving him crazy. Aunt Val and Shannon spent what seemed like hours brushing and looking through his hairs trying to find it and they finally did. Chewie is very happy now. No more itch tail. Happy puppy once again. And the other one to Skylar for making the road trip with me to Cayuga to get gas. Man that kid has a heavy foot 🙂
