Busy month or two 🙂
First up : after 4 years of excellent service, we bid farewell to Shannons Jetta. The lease has come to an end, and it went back to Volkswagen at the beginning of October. It served us well, and will be missed.
One cancellation, 1.5 years of planning/waiting and the trip to Florida has finally came and gone. We had an awesome time. Abby was totally overwhelmed by Disney, but really seems to have enjoyed it. Joey couldn’t have cared less, but meh, whats a baby to do? Grandma and Grandpa joined us this year, and it was great having them with us. Sadly, Donna and Grant couldn’t make it. Maybe next time!
Joey has a couple teeth now! Too bad they decided to pop in during our stay in Orlando, but luckily he didn’t mind toooo much. Little dude is a trooper. Also, he decided to start rolling over. Seems that Florida has that affect on my kids : Abby took her first real steps last time we were down. Speaking of Abby, this kid is getting too big. Where did my baby girl go?
Sadly, there won’t be any more babies in our future. I sit hear typing this post with a bag of frozen peas on my lap. Thats right, snip snip. I took one for the team. I love my kids with all my heart, but after two very scary births (and two incredible kids), we’ve decided to throw in the towel, and spend the rest of our lives spoiling the two we have, and not try for any more. We have the complete set, and don’t really want them to out number us 🙂
Got all my bike gear now. Just need spring time, and some last minute work on the bike, and I will be ready to do some tests and put down some miles finally. Looking forward to it! (but no hurry, snowmobile seasons first!)
Lastly, the car shopping is nearly ready to start up. I’ve officially decided to wait till AFTER January 1st. Once Christmas is out of the way I can really focus on it. I’ve got it narrowed down to just a couple options. I’ve test drove all but the one, which I plan on doing any day to finalize the short list. Looks like it will be a Golf/GTI or WRX. Which one, only time will tell. Despite starting in January, don’t expect any purchases till after March. Not that it couldn’t happen, just not in a rush. However, by June 1st, I WILL have car X.
