Stopped by to check out the Beetle yesterday. Paul has been really busy with the metal work. My rear apron has has the exhaust tips shaved off. The bottom of the pan had a dent in it under a 1/4 of body filler, so the bottom half was cut right off, and a new lower half (without the tip cut outs) was grafted into place. Much better. Next up: the doors. Driver side door has been shaved and most of the grinding has been complete. Looks awesome without handles. Passenger side has also been welded, but wasn’t grinded yet as of yesterday. I’m not sure what else had been done as I didn’t spend too much time going over it. And I was also pissed off when I realized the batteries in my new camera were dead as I went to snap some pictures. I’m going to go back out this afternoon with some fresh ones, and snap some pictures of the car and see what other things I can spot as being done since my last visit.
Last night Shannon and I went to here Dad and Cathys house for a 96th birthday party for Cathys grandma. Although I didn’t know hardly anyone there, we had a good time. Happy Birthday Nana.
While we were in Hamilton, my MINI and my puppies were left at my Mom and Dads house. My Mom was kind enough to wash and detail the MINI for me. Car looks like it should. I’ve just been too busy to spend the time detailing it that it needs. Luckilly my Mom had some spare time yesterday and helped me out. Thanks Mom! Too bad its rained all day today. I’m not taking it out of the garage until the rain stops and the road dries. Looks like I may need to take some days off this week 🙂 Just kididn’ boss.
