Countdown has started. September 22 2005 (2 months from today) marks the 3rd anniversary of me owning my beetle. I have my car ‘booked’ into the body shop second/third week of August. All depends on how busy the body shop is. Once its done there (1-2 weeks) the car will be going straight to the interior shop for a headliner installation. Hopefully soon after, I will be getting a safety done and put back on the road. At least for a couple weeks before being put back to bed for the winter. At which time, the stereo installation and customizing begins. Although the 22nd is my target date, I’d really like to see it done a couple weeks earlier so I can show it off to a buddy of mine while he’s in the country for holidays.
Past few months I have been really lazy updating my bug restoration page. Kevin has been over several dozen times working on the wiring and such, but no updates had been done on the site. So I figured it was high time I sat my ass down and updated the page a bit to show off his hard and tedious work. Its not complete yet, but its all working and working well I must say.
Onto other updates. Anyone who goes by my house will notice a new addition to the front. A beautiful screen door has been built and installed by my Grandpa. The thing looks great and it is so nice to feel the cool air coming though. THESE GUYS like the new door too!
Lastly, there is a new car in the Bugs’ Garage section. Kevin has finally found a replacement for the recently deceased CRX. In the CRX’s place you will find his 1995 Eagle Talon ESI. This thing is hot. And time will only make it better. Kev’s got lots of plans for this girl. I for one can’t wait to see if they all get done! On the other hand, if he does what he’s planning, I’m gonna need a bit more then an ECU upgrade and exhaust system to keep up with him.
