Well on Game of Thrones they keep saying Winter is Coming… Well.. Next question is — when the heck will it leave?! Seems to be the longest/coldest winter we’ve had in YEARS. I realize its only just March, but the fact the snow started in November and simly hasn’t let up since is making this feel much worse then it is. I simply can’t remember the last day with zero flurries.
Couple quick updates for the vehicles:
Silverado hasn’t changed much at all since I put it on the road, but I have been busy collecting parts for Project SSilverado. So far, I’ve picked up a rollpan, new hood, fender and front bumper. I ran out of room in the truck bed, and now have to go back to pick up the grill shell, 2 bumper brackets and driver side fender. Tomorrow I pickup my headlamps. Once I get all those parts, I will be ready to do my 03+ front end swap. Still needs to be painted, but working on getting everything ready first. Not sure if I will just paint the stock colour for now, or jump right into a full colour change. Will see what kinda quotes Paul gives me.
In bigger news, I decided (and successfully) sold my Honda CBR600rr. I love the bike, but I decided now was the time to make the jump to something I have been in love with since the first time I seen one : Triumph Thruxton. After lots of looking around and searching, I finally decided to take the plunge and ordered a brand new 2014 Black/Gold strip Thruxton from Struges in Hamilton. I am in LOVE with the bike. It was delivered a couple weeks ago and has been keeping my bug company in my Dads garage. I am aching to take it out for its maiden voyage. Currently has ZERO kms on it. Bike was brought to Hamilton in a crate and due to the weather they couldn’t road test it. So the bike is ultra fresh. In lieu of riding the bike, I decided to order the first of likely many parts I will put on this bike in the coming years: a Tron legacy style tail light/fender eliminator kit. Really makes the bike look clean and sporty but still vintage. Really a resto-mod style if that makes any sense. Modern take on a retro bike. Now, just have to wait for the weather to improve so I can pull it out of hibernation !
