Well, looks like I’m going to get to scratch another thing off my ‘must do’ list. Saturday morning, I was able to get some tickets to an AC/DC concert coming up in November. I wasn’t able to get any for the Toronto show, but thats looking like a good thing. Skydome Rogers Center is a bit too big of a venue to even see the show. I got two tickets for the show in Michigan. Its only a 3 hour drive, the venue is much smaller, and the price was actually better. I can’t wait!
Sadly, within 2 hours of buying tickets to the concert, I was sitting in Hagersville Hospital, having an Xray done of my ankle. Stupidly, I stepped wrong on my side yard, rolled the ankle and damn near broke it. I’ts now been 6 days, and I can finally put some weight on it. It still hurts like a bitch, and looks even worse, but it is finally showing some signs of improvement. A week off work sucked. I hate sitting around doing nothing. Not to mention I have a lot of work to do right now. And all this did was put me further behind.
Staying home wouldn’t be tooo bad if Shannon was home with me. However, Monday was the end of Shannon’s maternity leave. I hate to see her go back to work, but I hate looking at the bank account more. Going back to work couldn’t have came at a better time. On the upside, her office has been moved to Hagersville so she is only a 10 minute walk from home. And the babysitter is en route, so its even better. Not to mention, we have the best baby sitter in the world! Abby comes to my Mom and Dads house every day and spends the day with the gang. They are getting into a good little routine. Drop Abby off around 8:20, and she goes back to sleep for an hour or so. Then she gets up, and plays for a couple hours until the lunch crew starts. From 12-1230 she hangs with Aunt Donna and Uncle Grant. From 1-130 Uncle Alex stops in. And somewhere between 12:30 and 1:30 her Mommy and I stop in to see her and have a bite to eat. Nap time starts at 1:30 when lunches are over, and she sleeps till about 3pm. A couple more hours of play time till Mommy picks her up and her day is over. What more could a little girl want?
