Bugs Palace!

Not to much to post right now. Things are coming along slowly still. Photographer has been picked for the wedding, and down payment made. Also, Shannon and I completed the Wedding Prep course so that we can officially be married within the church. Can’t say we learned a whole lot. Not to many surprises when you already been living with some one for 8-9 months, but it had to be done, and I’m glad we did it.

Nothing much else to report. The trucks dirty, wants its wheels and a cnotch. Putting weight in the back of a lowered truck is a bad thing. Can you say less then an inch of travel in the rear end? I think ya can!!

The front end of the bug is slowly taking form. Alex is doing an absolutely awesome job. I swear the guy is fussier then the people who put the car together the first time. It will pay off in the end when its perfect as can be. There’s no way I could do this project without him (and not go totally broke). Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit. Its been so hard to work on the damned thing when you can blink as your eyes have been frozen over. Luckily Alex has been able to spend some time out there when he gets semi warm pockets of time. I even found a little Alex happy face 🙂 .. (Hey Mr. Dumb Dumb, notice he closes the mask completely before sparkin) 🙂

So much for my “regular  updates” .. Shit happens i suppose. Nothing overly pressing to talk about so i will try and give you as much as i can think of.. *sound of crickets chirping*.  Shannon has decided on, and placed her order for her wedding dress. Should be here in 5 months i think she said. Shes excited, and a little impatient. I havent (and wont) see it until the day; and i cant wait :-).  I think we have decided on the tuxs as well. Its called “the matrix”.. Sounds cool, and the price is right at about 180 after shoes, vests taxes and all that jazz.

Car/truck updates. Ive decided on the wheels for the bug and the wheels/rubber for the truck. Bug will be getting some 15×5.5 Empi Chrome 8 spokes. And the truck will be getting some American Racing Torq Thrust ST 20×8.5. With some Goodyear 275/45/20 rubbers on them. Gonna be nice. Just gotta rob a bank first.

Lastly, (for now) the apartment is now wireless. Yep, IRC and surf from the couch baby!!! I got my laptop from work, which comes complete with wireless nic. I have recently sold my regular router, and picked up a Linksys 4 port router with built in Wireless Access Point. So i am free to roam. BugsMobile, now online 😉 However, the laptop has been banned from the bedroom. Apparently Shannon doesnt want Hacky, Jim and the rest of the 2cpu channel coming to bed with us … Party pooper

New Years eve has came and gone. Had a small party at our place which i think went pretty good. 3 Shaved heads, liquour, cheesy 80s movies, what more could you want?? New years day, was dinner at mommas place. Beef + Ham….. Throw in some chicken, and the hat trick would have been complete. (moo cluck oink).

Went and thought about spending money i dont have today. Found out wheels and rubber is not *as* bad as i was worrying. Rubber will be the roughly the same whethor i go 18, or 20, and still not THAT much more then 16s. So who knows. Maybe i will do dubs and stay at my current height for the time being. Re-evaluate the suspension once the wedding, bug, and house are done. Gonna need rubber no matter what, so i just have to decide if i wanna spend a bit more and get some nice chrome wheels at the same time, or not. If you know me you already KNOW what i want. BugsOnDubs has a ring to it dont it 🙂  I also found out i can get a decent size tire wrapped around it, so i am not worried about bending or breaking.

Nuff said. Holidays almost over. Back to work tomorrow morning. I am SOO looking forward to that *cough*
