Bugs Palace!

Huge thanks to Kevin. AKA Xtacy.  After switching to mountaincable a week or so ago, I was having some little problems with my web site. All revolving around the fact that the site technically has a new name (you will notice that the address changes after you type www.bugs78.ca). Well, things like the commenting system and administration templates all relied on the old name being correct. Since the name changed, they broke.

Biggest problem was, since I couldnt change anything on my admin templates, I couldnt fix the problem, even though I was sure i knew what it was. Well, Kev with his stronger brain power then I have, was able to edit the files manually to reflect the changes, and now everything (so far) seems to be working perfectly. Comments, etc are now working.

Other quick update, which is also all very good news, the bug is almost completely sprayed with sealer now. Meaning it it ALOT closer to be complete then it was a week or two ago.  HERE are some pictures of the work to date.

Good bye Bell Canada, hello Mountaincable.

After many hours of research, Shannon and I decided to switch from Bell’s Phone/Internet/Television service and switch over to Mountaincables bundled service. It will be saving us at least 30-40$ a month, internet is a bit quicker (especially serving my website), and the phone service comes with all the bells and whistles without the additional costs.

Catch was finding a way to make this damned website comeup. After 2-3 hours of frigging around, I’ve got it up and going. A bit more tweaking is needed, but its alive.

Nothing else to report now. Things are working again, and I’m heading to bed.

PS: I KNOW THE COMMENTS DONT WORK YET. I’m working on it.  

This site may be going up and down over the next 2 weeks.
