Bugs Palace!

Happy March everyone. I for one am happy that month is over. I don’t have a heck of a lot to say right now. I will start off with good news. A week ago today, Shannon was sent to the hospital with chest pains. 7 hours, and 2 different hospitals later, we were home with a bit of relief but still an overwhelming pile of worry on our heads. Today was the remainder of the tests (stress tests). And thank GOD everything came back clear. Clean bill of health. She’s lucky. I have a lifetime full of plans made out for her and I.

My new springs for the MINI showed up yesturday, and I installed my short shifter as well. Nice and firm shifts are a good thing.

Welcome to the end of February. Thankfully its over. Illness, weather, and random crappiness has essentially made the shortest month of the year feel like the longest.  I think I am finally getting over the plague which has essentially ruled me for the past week or two. Yay for 102+ fevers!  Shannons still in the middle of suffering. Hopefully she will get better soon too.

Spent a bit of time at CarCraze with my buddy Shone. (owner). We worked out a nice trade today. I got his office computers to share an internet connection, and he put the MINI in the hoist and installed my Helix short throw shifter for me. Good trade if you ask me. Driving home was fun. Nice and crisp, and much shorter shifts. I likey. Thanks Shone!

I stopped by Alex and Paul’s place on the weekend and to my surprise, the beetle was in the driveway, freshly sandblasted. Pretty need seeing the barest of metal in the engine bay, and wheel wells. Looking good guys! It’s coming along great! Hopefully they will be ready for the paint before I leave for Maui, so I can get the paint before I leave. Otherwise, they will have to wait till I’m home to get the paint done. Here are the updated pictures

Speaking of home from holidays, Shannon and I will be going to pick up my Dad from the airport Saturday night. He left last Saturday morning to go to St. Kitts to visit my Grandparents and Great Aunt and Uncle. From the sounds of things, he’s been having a good time.

Tonight, Shannon and I will be picking up our new home gym. Hopefully I will be able to get all buff and stuff before Maui. 🙂
