Wow. That’s all I could say at the conclusion of Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Uncle Shoupie and went to see this 6th and final installment of the series which we have been going to together see since I was just a toddler. I think I speak for both of us when I simply say “wow”. It was so impressive, that when I got home and Shannon mentioned she wanted to go see it, I didn’t hesitate in saying “we can go tonight”. Yep. That’s right. Two showings in 1 day. Normally I would laugh at idiots who go see movies multiple times, but this time I will make an exception. B oth times I had a great time. Uncle Shoupie. if George Lucas ever changes his mind and brings out any more movies, you can bank on my dragging you to the theatre again.

Next up. GTI. I got suspension for my GTI yesturday. I decided on a lightly used set of FK Coilovers. I know some aren’t fans of the FK stuff, but well, they ride nice, have good warranty and have good adjustability. That and the price was good. Hopefully in the next week or two I will be able to get them installed.

With any luck this coming weekend, Kevin and I should have the beetle wiring pretty close to ironed out. Kev’s coming over Saturday for a day long fun fest of wire pulling and soldering.

EDIT. After a long battle and alot of help from Matt, the GTI is much closer to the ground as it should be. Pictures to follow once I measure it again, tweak if needed and wash it 🙂

Thanks again Splitz

May 5/2005 (AKA 5-5-5)

FINALLY. 11 years of driving, and I finally passed my damned G2 exit test. I won’t get into the details, but I will say I had some pretty shitty luck in my previous attempts. You’d think that 11 years of driving with about 60K kms a year for the past 5-6 years. Regrettably I’m not one for tests. At least I finally got the damned thing.

Not to much else to update. I had the resonator removed from my exhaust system. GTI has a tiny bit more growl to it. Nothing much, but it will keep my happy until I can swing the 1000$ for a turbo back exhaust system. Then I will get lots more growl AND 8-15 extra horse power. Horse power is a lot like money. You can never have enough

GTI is finally back in the driveway again. The car looks awesome. Couple little problematic spots, but the shop said they would fix them up so no worries there. All in all they did an awesome job. Spoiler is on as well, and really sets the back off nicely. Now I just need to drop it, 18s, and a body kit 🙂 (hopefully news on that sooner then later).

Dropped some money on the Beetle today. 285$ worth of lighting stuff. All new headlights, turn signals and tail lights. This shit adds up quickly. It’s gonna be sweet when she’s all together. I got some work ahead of me tomorrow. I told Kevin id get the 4 fenders on. That’s a lot of bolts. I also want to clean the garage up. Cool thing is, the car will be all lit up within a week or so, the lighting should be all in and hooked up and the car will look somewhat complete, albeit no paint.

Works been busy. Spent the last 2 weeks switching a school over to Windows2003 server and Xp/2000 Clients. Went pretty good. A bit slow, but good. Had fun with the staff. It’s defiantly one of the better schools to be in that I maintain.

Update: Lastly, I found a cool program on the internet which allows you to tweak Gti’s and Jetta’s to the max. I did a couple quick ones for my car and Shannons Car.

Mine Starting (wheels aren’t exact, but close)

Mine Realistically (wheels are semi- affordable)

Mine Dream (Wheels a weee bit out of my price range)
