Quick update. Shannon, Alex and I went to the June Jitterbug this weekend. It was fantastic again this year. Hundreds of VWs of almost every make and model. HERE are the pictures. Video will be coming soon,  its gonna take some time and effort on my part so be patient.

Got some news this week from work. One of my friends in the department, Chris, has given his resignation.  Gonna be sad to see him go. He’s going on to bigger and better things. And more importantly more money + closer to home. Good luck Chris. Try not to break anything 🙂

My head hurts. Too much thinking going on at work these days. Windows 2003 > me.  Some day I will make it and Active directory my bitch. But its gonna take time.

Had some fun today at work though. Swapped cars with Chris for a trip across Brantford. He’s got himself a hot little Jetta VR6. This is one nicely modded car. Nothing too crazy, just very tastefully done, and very quick. All I can say is I can’t wait to get my suspension on now. And man oh man do I love the sound of a VR6. I have some pictures of Chris’ Jetta and also his Mustang which will be going online this week. I will post an update on the main page once they are up.

Lastly, I want to wish a get well soon to Randy. The big lug went into get his knee fixed. My sources tell me he’s been hobbling along like a stoned elk due to the pain meds and the crutches. Not that I like seeing people in pain, I for one think drugged up boss man would be funny to watch 🙂 Stay off the leg Randy, and try and let the damned thing heal.

Happy Birthday Grandpa, and Happy Fathers days to fathers everywhere. Especially to my very own ‘Big Guy’. This man is the best there is. He’s the guy I try and measure up to. Way I see it, in 20-25 years, If I can look back and be 1/10th as good as he is, I will consider myself a very lucky guy. He may be a wise ass every now and again, but when it comes to being there when you need him, and being the best father you can be, he can not be beat. Love ya Homer. Don’t go changing.

Thanks to Jeff (and Cathy) for the first half of Fathers day. Shannon and I were treated to Chinese food at their place this afternoon. Despite my migrane it was still very good. Then on to the Shoups place for some turkey and chicken wings. Yet another excellent meal. I’m still not sure about deep frying a turkey, but it tasted great, so I guess different is good :-). I think I may have to get myself one of them mega deep fryers. Thanks for everything everybody.

Here are the pictures from my new camera at the Shoups today. The first 1/3 were excellent. the the middle set were good. And the final set were as good as can be expected with indoor lighting. I’m still learning this camera and which settings to use where, so if the next couple sets of images aren’t 100%, hang in there. I will figure it out.
