It is official. Shannon and I are married at last. She was just as beautiful and perfect as I expected her to be. I’m a lucky man. Not only was my bride perfect, but so was the rest of the day. A little hectic and stressful in the morning, but Alex and I made due with what we had and everything came together. I would like to say a huge thank you again to my family and friends for helping out so much and making the day run as smoothly as it did. My Parents, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles as well as all their children were there to help out in any way they could. You guys/girls are all the best, and I love you all for it.

Also should say a big thank you to our wedding party. Donna, Katie, Shelly and Allison, Adam, Alex, Erle and Jordon really stepped up for us this weekend. Anything needed to be done, it was. No questions, no complaints (at least that I heard 🙂  ), nothing. Having friends (and family) like you makes days like these that much more special. You guys really helped make our day great.

Adam and Donna filled the positions of Best Man, and Maid of Honor. Those titles don’t even begin to define how big a part these guys played this year.

Katie and Alex, two more people who mean the world to me. I couldn’t imagine getting through the day without you two. Thank you so much.

Jordon, the little brother I never had, but always wanted. You really came through for us this weekend. Making the long trip in from BC just for us. I can’t explain how much that means to me, but I can honestly say, I promise to take care of your sister, and it will be an honor to call you my brother.

Allison and Shelly, thank you for being there. Shannon loves you two, and though we haven’t spent much time together, I understood this weekend why she feels this way.

On a final note, Erle: What can I say about this guy. As some of you know, I had my best man back out on me last week, forcing Adam to take the role which he should have had right from the get go. With Adam taking the job of best man, I found my self short an usher. Cue Erle. I will spare all the details, but long story short, I asked Erle to do the job, and he did, and he did it great. He got measured up in Ottawa. Drove 6 hours on Friday to get here. And was there for me every step of the way Saturday. Thanks again Duke, You truly are the man.

Thanks again everyone. Millions of pictures were taken, and I will try my best to get them all up on the web in a timely fashion. Check back for updates.

UPDATE: Here are photos from MY camera. I will be putting some from Adam, and the rest of the crew with DigiCams up soon. And later from the photographer and 35mm cams.

Quick news. Shannon and I just got home from the wedding for Mr. and Mrs. Craig Vanderbolt. Yep, the crazy dutchman had to beat me to it. I would like to wish them all the best. I don’t know Melissa too well yet, but she seems like a real sweetheart, and made a very beautiful bride. Craig looked ok too I guess ;-). Good looks run in the family I guess. . Seriously though, best wishes, have a safe honeymoon, and lets all get together once you are back and do a stress free celebration.

1 week to go.

Well the Jack and Jill has came and went, and I think it was a pretty big success. We made enough to cover expenses and then some, so that’s a good thing. I have to say a HUGE thank you to my family and friends for helping. I would go into thanking everyone individually, but there was simply too many people to thank, and I’m sure I would forget someone. Shannon and I know who helped out, and would like to offer our sincerest thank  you’s to everyone from those who helped organize and plan, those who helped out the whole day picking stuff up and setting up, to those who kept the peace during the party, donated prizes, made some really  wonderful picture posters, bartended, sold tickets both at the door *all night!*, and on the floor. And of course to those who stayed to the bitter end cleaning up after all the people had went home.  And of course, we would like to thank everyone who attended and or bought tickets to the event. Your contributions will certainly help us out when it comes time to pay for the big day.  Thank you everyone. You know who you are 😉

A dozen days to go. No cold feet. (except for at night, now that we have our ceiling fan running thanks to Mr. Alex. and Donna).
