Bugs Palace!

Wow, look who has been on the ball with his blog updates 🙂  Victoria Day weekend has came and gone. First time in years I haven’t been in the wilderness of Foxxxys Cottage. Kinda sad about that, but what can you do? Well, what I did was spend some time with the folks. Pictures HERE. (also note the cute little puppy my Aunt and Uncle  just got!!! she’s soooo cute.) Shannon and I spent most of the weekend in Hagersville so Alex and I could make some huge progress with the Bug, and also let the puppies enjoy a crazy weekend of walks.

TOMORROW the wheels are going to be here. FINALLY. Only 2-3 weeks behind schedule. Oh well. They are bought and paid for and currently in Toronto waiting to be delivered. Soooo .. Tomorrow the truck gets some much needed bling bling 😉 You know pictures will come with that.

Quick edit/update. Wheels still aint here yet. Damn back orders. Hopefully tomorrow. They “said” this week, which leaves 1 more day.

For a laugh, look at this Old VW add. Alex and I got the front beam in tonight. So nice to have the bug back on 4 wheels again. Been a long time. Next up, 1 small patch in the front, out comes the glass and motor, so Alex can do a couple final welds in the engine bay. First off, happy late Mothers day Mom 🙂 You are the best. You know it, I know it, now everyone on the internet knows it. However,  you raised a tardy son, who simply didn’t have a chance to put the note up after running around getting jacks and a tire iron to fix my damned wheel. Thanks for digging the stuff out Dad.

As I mentioned above, I had a small hole in my tire last night. So on goes the spare : . Hopefully the delivery date will hold  up this time, and my 20’s will be in this Wednesday so I don’t have to drive around with THIS eye-sore for too long. If they show up, you know pictures will be coming shortly there after 😉

That’s about all I got to say. HERE IS SOME DEFINITIONS for anyone who cares about VW’s would enjoy. Dad and Alex, I’m sure will get a kick out of them. They are quite funny. I especially like “Hammer – A beetle version of the Swiss army knife, but with one function”. Read them. Its worth the few minutes.
