Not a whole heck of a lot to to discuss this week. Been somewhat quiet since the last post. Bunch of time spent moving into the house and getting settled. Other then thats its been a sit back and attempt to save some money.

Since the last update Rob (aka Mahhy) has been in the country. As most of you know he moved to Denmark a couple years ago and comes home for a visit every 6-12 months or so. Went out with him and the crew a couple times over the last week and a half and had a blast. Unfortunatly Shannon and I had to miss the group trip to Canadas Wonderland. We both poor, and no time to take off work 🙁   Oh well. Will get them next time.

I’m sure I will update a bit more later. Just thought I should pencil something  in seeing as its been a few weeks

And we’re back. And just in time for a VERY long over due post. I’m sorry I haven’t been as on top of this as I normally am, but things have been a little busy around here to say the least.

First off we are IN OUR NEW HOUSE. There are the first of many pictures sure to be taken in our new home. And yes, I finally feel like I have a home again. Apartments and Townhouse were great, but they were not homes. Just temporary places to hang my hat and pay bills :-). Speaking of paying bills, as the first mortgage payment came out yesterday, I can say with certainty that we have a house.

Now, on to some over due thank you’s. First Off, we’d like to thank Jeff and Cathy for the new fridge. Looks great, keeps my pop cold, what else could you ask for?  Also would like to thank Uncle Mark, and Aunt Judy for their surprising and generous gift of a new dishwasher (which happens to match our new fridge, stove and microwave!). And also thanks to Uncle Brett and Aunt Val for the use of the truck and also helping furnish our new home. (Especially the new throne for the king in the living room).

We would also like to thank Grandma and Grandpa, Mary Jane and Dave, and Jim, Alicia and Erle for their wonderful but very unnecessary house warming gifts.

And last but most certainly not least, Shannon and I would like to express a heart felt thank you to my Mom and Dad for well.. Everything. For helping us get packed, get loaded into the u-haul, get the u-haul (and several truck and van loads) unloaded, getting the stuff in and organized into our new house and just plain being there for us.  I can’t put into words how much we appreciate all the hard work you two put in for us over the past 2 weeks. I will make sure you guys get the very best old peoples home OHIP can buy when the time comes 🙂 Kidddding momma, Dad build the 4th bedroom over the 3rd car bay, and you can have it 🙂 . You know we love ya’s.

I’m sure I am forgetting to thank people, but that’s just ’cause I’m an absent minded fool trying to remember the last few weeks. Feel safe in assuming Shannon and I appreciate all help that we got. 🙂

What a week. I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in training in Mississauga. All I can say is thank God I don’t have to fight Toronto traffic every day. 10-12 hours worth of travel time in 3 days. That’s just stupid. Especially knowing that during off hours, I have made that trip in about 35 minutes. However,  I have learned a great deal about Windows 2003 Server. So I suppose mission accomplished.

On to happier news. FRIDAY WE GET OUR HOUSE.  We have spoken with the builder and we will be done on time. Tomorrow night (Thursday) we get to do a walk through of our new home, and check out everything to make sure everything is as it should be. IE: perfect. After the walk through, we head to the lawyers office again, to finalize the papers. And then the house is officially ours. Well; Ours and the bank for about the next 20 years. We are still unsure if we get the keys tomorrow or Friday. I know the closings not till Friday, but technically, Midnight tomorrow night is Friday 🙂 Will see soon I guess.

Packing has been a non stop game around the townhouse for the last week or so. Shannon has been an absolute trooper. I worked my ass off carrying the big stuff out, but the weather, training and commute has left me pretty much drained. I cleaned out the office, garage, and helping her with some other stuff, but she has really taken charge with the  packing.  She even stayed home and packed while I went out to the VW gtg. I guess she gets more done when I’m not in her way.

Speaking of drained, I’m heading to bed soon. Move the last of the boxes to the garage, and I’m done.

Bugs OUT

PS: I will be with out high speed internet from Friday morning till sometime Wednesday. Therefore, My web page will be down. Do not be alarmed.
